School Fund

The School Fund consists of monies for the advancement of education by the provision of facilities for pupils not provided for out of public funds devolved to the school. The fund is administered in accordance with the Perth & Kinross Council Financial Policies and Procedures.

The School Fund Committee is appointed yearly at the beginning of each school session and will consist of Chairperson (Fiona Robertson, Headteacher), Treasurer (Lesley Greig, Business & Management Officer) and 2 members, including Scott Jewell, Business Manager.

Copies of monthly accounts for Perth Grammar School Fund are available on request.

Income and Expenditure Accounts for specific school trips will also be available to parents/carers of pupils who participated and are available below. These accounts will be available once all income and expenditures have been completed.

School Fund Trip Refund Policy

Funds collected for school trips are managed through our School Fund. After a trip has concluded and all associated costs have been settled, any remaining balance will be handled as follows:

Refunds Over £5.00: If the surplus per pupil is greater than £5.00, an automatic refund will be issued to the individual.
Refunds Under £5.00: If the surplus is less than £5.00, a refund may be requested. If no request is made, the remaining amount will be retained in the School Fund.
Use of Retained Funds: Any unclaimed or small surplus amounts will be used to support future school activities and initiatives that benefit our pupils.

Cost of the School Day

We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to participate in school trips, regardless of financial circumstances. If the cost of the trip presents a challenge, please contact the group leader to discuss available support options. Additionally, you can email your child’s Principal Teacher of Guidance to explore further assistance. Our goal is to ensure that all young people can benefit from these enriching experiences.
