Lepra

Each year we support Lepra, an international aid organisation campaigning for people who suffer from leprosy.

Lepra tries to do the following:

  1. Treat the disease
  2. Tackle the poverty associated with the disease and ensure access to education for those affected
  3. Challenge continuing prejudice about the disease

You can find out more about Leprosy from these short videos:

Bhola’s Story

Laxmipriya’s Story

or one of the other Lepra videos at these links.

Once again over 150 S1 pupils took up the challenge to have a fun workout in the assembly hall.  Dance teacher, Miss Tyrer offered to lead the workout and prepared a challenging routine including some Bollywood moves to put pupils through their paces.  Everyone had a great time and the pupils raised £1136 – £400 more than last year!  22 pupils reached the target of raising more than £25 and qualified for a free Bendy Person clock! Photos of this event can be seen below.
